Travertine-Effect Staircase

The job

Each tread is a single full-width tile with a 20 mm overhang and a matched riser, so there are no joints across the step. We built up the concrete to a consistent rise, dry-laid every tread to check the overhang, and finished with a bullnosed edge. The adjoining floor was levelled with a clip system to meet the bottom step exactly.
