Who we are

GERALD PROJECTS (PTY) LTD (“Gerald Projects”, “we”) is a tiling contractor based at 1 Wallace Street, Bedfordview, Germiston. We are the “responsible party” under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Our Information Officer is the director, Geraldo Sebastiao Simango, reachable at info@geraldprojects.co.za.

What we collect

Enquiry and quote forms: your name, email address, phone number, property address or suburb, project details and any photos you upload.
Newsletter: your email address.
Analytics (with consent only): anonymised usage data via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled.
Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA v3 may process your IP address and browser information to tell humans from bots.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, schedule a site visit, perform the work you contract us for, and send you the tiling tips you signed up for. We process this information on the basis of your consent and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who need it to deliver the above: our email provider (to deliver form submissions to us and an acknowledgement to you), Google (analytics and reCAPTCHA, if enabled) and our hosting provider. We do not sell personal information and we do not transfer it outside South Africa except to these providers, who apply adequate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted after 12 months. Records of completed work are kept for 5 years for guarantee and tax purposes.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing or withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@geraldprojects.co.za. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you may complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
